Patriot Dental Laboratory (We Care About Americas Smile) Implants

Implants can be the most challenging aspect of the Dental Industry, although one of the most conservative and esthetic pleasing restorations.  What we've noticed when it comes to implants is that some Dentist's consider implants very chaotic.  Not knowing what terminology to use, or what parts to order, or what drivers to select and what type of crowns can be fabricated with a implant.  Well, have no fear my family of Dentists', we are knowledgeable in all aspects of Implantology and the current systems that all the dental suppliers are using.  We will walk you through what is needed, and even order all your implant parts for you so their is no hassles when it comes to implants.  We also can fabricate a anatomical wax up with a implant surgical stint for the Dentist placing the implant screw.  This stint comes highly suggested due to the problem of angles of placing a correctly positioned Implant abutment. We would even appreciate a panorex x-ray or digital panorex if available to help in making the implant surgical stint.    In addition, screw-retained implants will need a access hole for the implant impression coping in the final impression tray, save yourself the headache and ask us to make a custom tray with a properly positioned access hole for the implant impression coping screw.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The sticker usually placed on the Implant screw that defines platform height and width and manufacturer of Implant.

  • An accurate (no voids or bubbles) polyvinyl impression of the implant impression coping, screw retained implants will need to made sure the implant impression coping is stable using  polyvinyl impression material.

  • A Bite Record (required for full arch, optional for triple tray impressions but highly suggested) this can be made from blue mousse, polyvinyl, or a hard plastic material, wax is not recommended.

  • Selection of the crown and or bridge to fabricated.

  • A opposing dentition model and/or impression

  • Properly filled out prescription (with shade, and desired esthetics)

Patriot Dental Laboratory has performed many implants in our history.  With that in mind, we've also found some helpful hints for the Dentist.  The initial planning, especially when it comes to placing the implant screw and using a surgical stint can save you and the Lab a major headache in the future.  Please keep in mind that All-Ceramic implant abutments are available for most implant systems, however not all of them.  When doing multiple implants for a large span bridge or overdenture, the lab may have to select some implants not to use because path of insertion conflicts.  Implant parts may be on back order from the supply company, therefore don't schedule your patient until you've been contacted by the lab.  Pink gingival porcelain may be used and/or needed for esthetics in large pontic areas, this may be noted during a anatomical wax up.  Some gingivectomy may be needed around the healing cap and/or the bottom of the implant abutment, especially if a smaller healing cap was used than recommended.  Base Metal (Non-Precious) cannot be used as implant crowns or bridges due to the galvanizing between the non-precious metal and the titanium implant.  If you have any questions or are planning a implant, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions about your implants.  We believe implants are the best alternative to fill any edentulous space and we keep our prices as low as possible to keep this an affordable option for your patient .
