Patriot Dental Laboratory (We Care About Americas Smile) Porcelain Fused to Metal (PFM)

Porcelain fused to metal restorations are easily considered the bread and butter for most Dentists.  With that in mind, we at Patriot Dental Laboratory try to make this restoration the easiest for the Dentist.  We can use any of the below metals for your restoration.  If you prefer a different metal or know what type of porcelain you desire, please speak to one of our representatives.  We prefer to use D. Sign Porcelain for all of our PFM's.  For more information on D. Sign porcelain please Click Here.

         D. Sign porcelain has pure aesthetics thanks to the fluorapatite glass-ceramic material with the true-to-nature properties ranging from the light optical features to the enamel-like abrasion behavior. With the well-balanced and excellently thought-out concept of IPS d.SIGN, the individual design possibilities of IPS d.SIGN are virtually boundless.

REQUIREMENTS:

We strive to have a 5 minute insertion time for PFM crowns for your patients.  It shouldn't take you longer than five minutes to insert and cement a Patriot Dental Lab PFM crown in your patients mouth.  With that in mind, we must have the following:

  • Accurate Polyvinyl impression (Triple tray/Full arch)

  • A Bite Record (required for full arch, optional for triple tray impressions but highly suggested) this can be made from blue mousse, polyvinyl, or a hard plastic material, wax is not recommended.

  • Properly filled out prescription (with shade, and desired esthetics)

Please note we are very knowledgeable in H&H and H&S Impression techniques.  H&S technique is the only technique you should use, we suggest not using the H&H.  For more information on this technique, please click here.  Any two-step impression technique is not recommended.  We suggest cementing PFM's with Multilink from Ivoclar, please click here to order Multilink cement.
